Veronica Falcón was born in Mexico City. She is considered one of Mexico's most prestigious actors, as well as an outstanding choreographer. In 2015 she emigrated to the US, within months she was cast as one of the leads of the hit television series "Queen of the South", her character "Camila Vargas" quickly became a fan favorite.Her filmography includes many prestige television credits in series such as: "Ozark" opposite to Laura Linney, Julia Garner & Jason Bateman. In HBO's "Perry Mason" she played another fan favorite, "Lupe Gibbs" opposite to Matthew Rhys. In Steven Conrad's critically acclaimed "Perpetual Grace Ltd", she played Clara, opposite to Sir Ben Kingsley, Luis Guzmán & Jackie Weaver.Some of her latest film credits include Disney's "Jungle Cruise" where she played "Trader Sam" next to Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt & Jack Whitehall. "A Million miles away" with Michael Peña & Julio Cedillo, "Voyagers" opposite Collin Farrell, "The Forever Purge", Ted Melfi's "The Starling" & more. In television her work can be seen in Marc Cherry's "Why Women Kill", HBO's "Room 104" directed by Marc Duplass, Marvel's "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" & Joseph Gordon Levitt's "Mr. Corman" amongst others. She recently lent her voice to "Eex" for the Warner Bros. animated production of "Foools". She played "Irma", one of the leads of Louise Abbot's podcast "Pesos" produced by Salt Audio Media & Leopoldo Gout. Ms Falcon is developing her own Podcast, hoping for a 2024 launch.In the Latam market, her breakthrough performance in the film "Days of Grace" as "La Madrina" won critical acclaim. Directed by Everardo Gout the movie is considered one of the most important Mexican films of that decade, it won seven Mexican Academy Awards. Other credits include "A Monster of a thousand heads" directed by the multi-awarded director Rodrigo Plá, the cult film "Hasta el Viento tiene miedo", "Midaq's Alley", "Saving Private Pérez" & many more. Ms. Falcón was nominated by the Mexican Film Critics Association as Best Supporting actor for her role as "La Diabla" in the film "Sugar Kisses". The film was directed by Oscar Nominee Carlos Cuarón. Some of her LATAM television credits include HBO's "Sr. Avila","Capadoccia", "El Señor de los cielos", "Trece Miedos", "Los Minondo", "El Capitan Camacho" & Eugenio Derbez's "La Alegría del Hogar".For many years, Ms. Falcón was the artistic Director of her own independent theatre company. With over thirty stage credits in Mexico & Berlin Ms Falcon marked her NY stage debut in 2022 with The Redbull theatre production of one of Shakespeare's earliest collaborations: "Arden of Faversham". Veronica played "Widow Greene" to critical acclaim, she won the Hispanic Organization for Latin Actors Award, as Best Supporting Actor for excellence in the theatre. Playing Shakespeare in its original language, as a non-Native Speaker, in a period NY production, is considered by Ms Falcon a personal triumph.As a choreographer, Ms. Falcón was invited several times to work with Mexico's National Opera, her choreography of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" is still regarded as one of the most original works ever created for the Company. In the nineties, she worked most of the top Pop Latinx stars in the music industry choreographing concerts & tv specials. She also choreographed countless projects for stage & television in Mexico, Canada & Berlin. In 2013 Ms. Falcón won a grant as a playwright competing with over two hundred and fifty authors. The grant was part of the Global "Micro-theatre" project, the play was produced and had successful runs in Mexico City & Miami. Ms Falcon will graduate in December from the UCLA's Writers Certificate program. She is developing a couple of television series & editing a compilation of her short stories for publication.At age fifteen, Ms. Falcón was awarded a Teacher's Degree in English, she is fluent in German & French. She was nominated twice for the Image award for excellence in television for her role in "Queen of the South". In 2019 Veronica was honored with the Impact Award given by the National Hispanic Media Coalition for excellence in Television.Veronica is the eldest of two siblings. Her father, an architect & her mother was a real estate agent. Her youngest brother is a sports Journalist. For over two decades, she was married to Polish actor/director Marius Biegai, they recently divorced and remain close friends. She lives with her son Lucca in Los Angeles, California.
