Julia Konrad is a Brazilian actress, music artist and activist.With strong ties to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lived for ten years, Julia is a multi-faceted artist that transcends genres and styles. A graduate from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NY), she carries in her work the essence of her Latin background, while using her platform to give voice to sexual abuse survivors in Brazil.As an actress with a rich cultural background, and fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, Julia transitions seamlessly through languages and countries. She is known for her leading role as Gabriela, in Carlos Saldanha's fantasy Netflix series Invisible City, and her role as Pepita in International Emmy Award nominated series One Against All. Her acting credits also include Amazon Prime Video's DOM, and Brazilian director Monique Gardenberg's award winning film Paradise Lost.In 2020 Julia breaks through Brazilian independent music scene with her single "Vuelve", which is part of the soundtrack for the fourth and final season of One Against All.Also in 2020, Julia publicly spoke for the first time about being a survivor of sexual abuse, shedding light on marital rape in Brazil and starting a movement that gives voice to survivors. After her story was published in a leading women's publication in Brazil, Claudia magazine, other women came forward with their own stories of abuse, and the publication set up a permanent channel so that survivors everywhere could share their own experiences and get the legal and psychological support needed.
