Swastika Mukherjee is an Indian actress who primarily works in Bengali and Hindi movies and TV series. She hails from a Bengali household; she spent her childhood living with her parents and her younger sister, Ajopa. Her father, Santu Mukherjee, is a famous actor in Hindi and Bengali cinema.Mukherjee has done her schooling at three different schools, including the Carmel School in Kolkata, Gokhale Memorial School, and St. Teresa's Secondary School. She got married at the young age of 18 to Promit Sen, son of singer Sagar Sen, a renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer. Mukherjee has one daughter from the marriage, Anwesha, who was born in 2000.Devdasi, a Bengali TV series, served as Mukherjee's acting debut. Her big-screen debut was in 2001 with the release of the film Hemanter Pakhi. She received her major break in the 2004 film Mastan, in which she starred opposite the well-known Bengali actor Jeet. In 2008, she made her official debut in the Bollywood industry with Mumbai Cutting.
